Work placements/employment

One of the objectives of école intuit.lab is to train highly-skilled professionals, who are capable of meeting the needs and requirements of the professional world.
To achieve this goal, the school has set up a series of compulsory and agreement-based work placement schemes, spread throughout students' study courses.
These work placement schemes enable students to form a more refined idea of what they want to do professionally, to work under the real conditions of the professional world and to adopt a direct and hands-on approach to their future career.

Duration and periods of work placement:

- Year 2 Advanced Cycle: 4 weeks, between June and September.
- Year 3 Advanced Cycle: 6 weeks, between June and September.
- Year 4 Advanced Cycle: 16 weeks, from September to the end of December.
- Year 5 Masters: Contrat de professionnalisation, from October to the end of July.

école intuit.lab has a work placement office which assists and supervises students with the process of looking for a work placement and subsequent employment, is responsible for helping young graduates to smoothly make the transition into active professional life and monitoring the progress of former students.

Dual-education scheme

Since the start of the 2006 academic year, école intuit.lab has offered a 5th year of study to obtain a Master's degree in Art Direction, design and visual communications. The Master's degree is a way for a student to complete their initial training with a year of advanced study for young and talented creative individuals/designers who are motivated to go on to realize an ambitious professional project.

This year of training is a dual-education year, where study is carried out in parallel with a salaried work placement, giving students real exposure to work in the profession.
école intuit.lab in turn offers agencies the chance to bring a new Junior Art Director on board gradually and on an on-going basis throughout the course of the year, who will not only be competent, self-sufficient and enterprising but also come equipped with genuine professional expertise.
The dual-education programme spans a period of 9 months: 3 weeks a month of supervised, practical professional experience with an agency and 1 week of practical teaching experience in the form of real case studies at the school.
The student is employed on a fixed-term employment contract known as a contrat de professionnalisation and is paid 80% of the French minimum wage [SMIC].

Benefits of the Year 5 Dual-Education Masters for the recruiting company:
- Recruit a selected Junior A.D., who will not only be already trained and operational, but also talented and motivated.
- Test whether a Junior A.D. is well-suited to working within your structure for the period of a 9-month fixed-term contract [CDD].
- Pay the Junior A.D. 80% of the French minimum wage [SMIC] with 75% of the normal working hours exempt from employer contributions.
