Ecole intuit lab has been selected for the second year running as a winner under the SAPPI 2009 Ideas that Matter programme to receive a grant to be donated to its chosen charitable organization.
Campaign title: "A vous la citoyenneté" ["To you, Citizens"]
The project entitled "Papers: A gateway to civic life" is intended to provide local authorities, schools, healthcare centres, government authorities and associations in Mali educational materials (posters, postcards, exhibition display) to support and sustain the impact of televised public information messages produced by BlonBa and broadcast on national television. These materials are based on a character known as "Papiétan" (which means someone without identity papers) who is played by the well-known actor, Tièblé Traoré.
Thiérry Sarfis (Teacher) and the LAB3 students; Julien-Pierre Mallet, Thibaud Kelfa, Claire Darmon and Pauline Ghislain.

Receipt of SAPPI award
Selected from among more than 74 European entries, the French entry by the école intuit.lab Paris, prepared under the responsibility of Michel Olivier, has been selected to receive a Sappi Ideas that Matter grant in 2008 for a written communications campaign on behalf of Lûlistan - Mission Culture France / Asie centrale, [French-Central Asian Cultural Mission], which acts as a gateway in Uzbekistan to pass on the benefits of sales of the book "Memories in exile" to the Greek community in Tashkent.
The école intuit.lab project is based on "Memories in exile", a 140 page book, 2,000 copies of which were produced in 180x180mm format, accompanied by two 40x60cm posters and 10x15cm invitation cards for exhibitions to be held in Athens and Paris.
Based on a design by the artist Ilias Poulos, this campaign was created by EIL students Lydie Moreira, Gwénaëlle Pinson, Delphine Sigonney, Daphné Streck, Thibaud Kelfa and Julien Paris. Lûlistan seeks to establish a strategic bridge to enable cultural exchanges with Central Asia, and promote values such as emancipation, the freedom of expression and the free exchange of ideas. For nine years, they have been working to support institutions and artists in the Region by helping to reduce the level of cultural isolation and by giving them the means to form their own contemporary artistic identity. Lûlistan seeks to do this by avoiding simply imitating what is done in Europe and by respecting the traditions of local cults and cultures.
An exhibition will be held from September 29 to October 10, 2009 in Paris and from October 21 to November 18, 2009 in Athens.
